Train traffic has been restored between the stations of Tsareva Livada – Tryavna, the State Enterprise (SE) National Railway Infrastructure Company (NRIC) announced.
Express train №4631 from Ruse to Plovdiv collided yesterday with a landslide that had been activated between the stations of Tsareva Livada – Tryavna. Train traffic in the section was suspended, and four passengers were slightly injured. The locomotive and the first carriage of the train derailed in the collision.
The locomotive from yesterday's railway incident was removed from the line earlier today, and workers are reconstructing the railway, a BTA reporter saw at the scene of the incident.
The machine will probably be used for spare parts and it is unlikely to be repaired and put back into operation, said the Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of the National Board for Investigation of Accidents in Air, Water and Railway Transport (NBIAAWRT) to the Ministry of Transport, Dr. Eng. Boycho Skrobanski.
