"Vazrazhdane" proposes emergency security measures

The political party "Vazrazhdane" has officially requested increased protection of the state border and a temporary suspension of the Schengen Agreement with Spain. The reason for the request is the mass crossing of thousands of migrants from Morocco into the Spanish enclave of Ceuta.

National security of Bulgaria should be a priority for every Bulgarian government, the party believes.

The example of Italy

The party's press center points out that Italy has already implemented a similar measure. As of today, the Italian decision to temporarily suspend the Schengen agreements with Spain for a period of one month, covering sea and air borders, comes into effect.

The position of Spain

The leader of "Vazrazhdane", Kostadin Kostadinov, emphasized that Bulgaria must act preventively and increase police and military presence in border zones to prevent potential risks to national security.
