All Bulgarian voters who wish to vote outside the country on April 19, 2026, are entitled to do so, regardless of whether they have submitted a prior application. The only condition is to fill out a declaration (Appendix No. 28-NS) before the section election commission, certifying that they have not voted and will not vote elsewhere.
The Central Election Commission (CEC) emphasizes the role of diplomatic and consular missions in communicating with Bulgarian communities, highlighting the provision of clear and complete information about the election process. When engaging local representatives, it should be explained that their proposals for section commissions are reserve.
The CEC expresses respect for Bulgarian communities abroad and emphasizes the importance of correct preliminary information, in accordance with the legal framework. At the same time, it was announced that the voting machines will be transported to the municipalities on Friday evening. An interactive election map with the addresses of the polling stations has also been published.
