Nadezhda Koleva: The Seventh Grand National Assembly laid the foundations of democratic Bulgaria

At the beginning of today's plenary session, "Progressive Bulgaria" MP Nadezhda Koleva-Stoycheva made a declaration dedicated to the anniversary of the adoption of the current Constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria.

"The Seventh Grand National Assembly had brought together the true intellectual and professional elite of Bulgaria," stated Koleva.

On July 13, 1991, the new Constitution was promulgated in the "State Gazette." According to the MP, this event did not put an end to the transition, but marked the beginning of a new state founded on the rule of law and individual freedom.

Lessons from the past for the future

In conclusion, Koleva emphasized that Bulgaria has the potential to produce a new generation of statesmen who will uphold national sovereignty and the dignity of Bulgarian citizens, placing statehood above political expediency.
