The shortage of places in kindergartens is decreasing
The Mayor of Sofia, Vasil Terziev, announced that the shortage of places in childcare facilities in the capital is decreasing. This year it is under 7,000, with 5,000 of those being in nursery groups. The main challenge facing the municipality remains the lack of nurses, which necessitates the transformation of nursery groups into kindergarten groups.
"We are working with the Ministries of Education and Health to find a lasting solution to the personnel deficit," the mayor stated.
