The Ministry of Healthcare published official data on the activity of the Assisted Reproduction Center (ARC) during the first six months of 2025. The statistics show extremely positive results in the field of reproductive healthcare.
Experts from the department reported that a total of 612 children were born in the period January-June, with 674 clinical pregnancies achieved out of 2,739 submitted applications. This represents a success rate of 27% among the funded medical procedures.
The institution reports full cooperation with medical facilities - all 25 clinics that applied for a contract with the ARC have successfully passed a detailed analysis and received approval. Equal and timely access to assisted reproduction procedures funded from the state budget is guaranteed.
Financial discipline is at an exceptionally high level - no delays in payments to medical centers have been allowed. The total amount paid amounts to over 10.3 million leva. Within the six-month period, 16 planned inspections were carried out in medical facilities, with no violations found.
To improve administrative service, the Center's reception office has been relocated to a new address in Sofia - 15 "Acad. Ivan Geshov" Blvd., 5th floor, room 26. For comparison, during the same period last year, 883 clinical pregnancies and 555 births were recorded.
As an additional positive highlight, the ARC marked its 15th anniversary in 2024, with the total number of assisted births exceeding 16 thousand.
