Tragic Statistics: 1 Dead and 25 Injured in Accidents in Bulgaria in 24 Hours

The Ministry of Interior reported alarming statistics on road accidents in Bulgaria: 1 dead and 25 injured in 18 accidents in the last 24 hours. A comparison with the previous year shows an improvement in the number of fatalities, but the total number of incidents remains high.

According to the Ministry of Interior, 18 serious accidents were registered in the country in the past 24 hours, in which one person died and 25 were injured. An increase in incidents compared to the previous day is noted.

In Sofia, 22 minor accidents and one serious one were registered, with no fatalities, and one person was injured.

Since the beginning of the month, the number of accidents is 371, with 30 fatalities and 468 injured. For comparison, since the beginning of the year, road accidents are 6005, the fatalities are 403, and the injured - 7481. It is important to note that compared to the same period in 2024, we are recording 19 fewer fatalities.

The data emphasizes the need for increased caution on the road and adherence to traffic rules.
