In Sofia, 47 minor road accidents and seven serious ones were reported, in which three people died and 12 were injured. The capital is once again among the riskiest areas in terms of road conditions.
Since the beginning of the month, 29 accidents have occurred in the country, in which six people have died and 35 have been injured. The data outline a worrying trend in the first days of the period.
Since the beginning of the year, 6174 road accidents have been registered, in which 420 people have died and 7687 have been injured. Compared to the real data for road mortality for the same period in 2024, 12 fewer participants in the movement were reported to have died in 2025. According to the Ministry of Interior, this underlines the importance of efforts to limit serious incidents, although the number of victims remains high.
