Critical Assessment: Data from the DGPSC
The past 24 hours were marked by intensive work for the teams of the "Fire Safety and Civil Protection" department. As of 6:00 a.m. this morning, authorities reported 180 extinguished fires across the country.
The tragic toll for the last 24 hours includes one fatality and four injured citizens.
Incident Statistics
- Total number of signals: 238 incidents to which firefighters responded promptly.
- Fires with direct damage: 32 in total. Of these, 9 in residential buildings, 10 in vehicles, 1 in an industrial facility, and 1 in a forest area.
- Fires without damage: 148 cases, primarily burning dry grass, bushes, forest litter (95), and waste (42).
Rescue Operations
In addition to extinguishing fires, the teams carried out 43 rescue operations. Ten of them were related to traffic accidents, and the rest involved providing assistance to people in need and supporting other institutions.
Unfortunately, the statistics also include 15 false alarms, which unnecessarily engage the resources of the rescue services.
