The firefighters' tally: 150 fires in 24 hours
Over the past 24 hours, a total of 150 fires have been extinguished in the country, and unfortunately, one fatality has been recorded. The data was provided by the General Directorate for Fire Safety and Civil Protection (GDFSCP).
25 of the fires resulted in direct material damage, while in the remaining 125 cases, the situation was resolved without serious damage.
Distribution of incidents:
- Residential buildings: 10 fires
- Vehicles: 7 fires
- Industrial and auxiliary buildings: 4 fires
- Forest areas: 2 fires
- Dry grass and waste: 118 cases without material damage
Fire department crews responded to a total of 202 calls, including 40 rescue operations, road accidents, and technical assistance for drainage and the removal of dangerous objects. 12 false alarms were also recorded.
