Border crossing congestion: Queues at border crossings with Turkey, restrictions on freight traffic on the border with Serbia, and changes to border crossings with Greece and North Macedonia.

Traffic is intensive at the border crossing checkpoints (BCPs) "Kapitan Andreevo" and "Lesovo" on the border with Turkey for freight vehicles.

As of 13:00 on January 26, 2026, the passage of freight vehicles exiting the Republic of North Macedonia has been suspended, and as of 00:00 on January 27, freight traffic at the border checkpoints "Deve Bair", "Delchevo", and "Novo Selo" is completely closed. Yesterday, the situation at the end of the working day at BCP "Gyueshevo" was calm.

On the border with Serbia, in connection with the announced blockade of freight vehicle carriers, at 6:00 on January 27, the movement of heavy goods vehicles heading out of the country was blocked at the border checkpoints "Kalotina", "Strezimirovci", and "Vrushka Chuka".

On the border with Greece, since January 20, passenger cars and minibuses up to 3.5 tons are passing through the border crossing "Rudozem". Vehicles up to 3.5 tons are also passing through the border crossings "Zlatograd", "Makaza", and "Ivaylovgrad". Passenger cars, buses and freight vehicles pass through the border crossings "Kulata", "Ilinden", and "Kapitan Petko Voyvoda".

On the border with Romania, traffic is normal for all border crossings.
