Svetla Daskalova from the Varna Regional Court has been chosen as the reporting judge in the case of the detained mayor Blagomir Kotsev. The selection was made through the random distribution system.
In addition to the judge, two lay judges have also been selected.
According to the law, Judge Daskalova must schedule the case within a two-month period.
Meanwhile, in the Sofia City Court, requests have been submitted for consideration of the measures of restraint against Blagomir Kotsev. Judge Daskalova will also have to rule on them, with no specific legal deadline, but the decisions must be made within reasonable timeframes, according to lawyers.
