In Bulgaria, between 20 and 30 children lose their lives in road incidents each year – a statistic that motivates two compassionate women to take specific actions to change the situation. Their professional and civic commitment focuses on raising parental awareness about the correct use of child car seats.

Milena Zaharieva and Radoslava Mitrova have created a specialized foundation that works purposefully on the prevention of traffic accidents involving children. Through a national study, they reveal an extremely alarming fact: parents pay more attention to choosing a stroller, crib, and diapers than a safe child car seat.

Their personal experience comes from their own parental challenges. "When our children were born, we initially chose seats that we quickly realized were not suitable," shares Radoslava Mitrova. Their in-depth research and consultations with numerous specialists motivate them to take active steps to inform the public.

One specific case illustrates the exceptional importance of a correctly chosen child seat. In a head-on collision that practically leaves no chance of survival, two-year-old Pepi emerges from the crash completely unharmed, precisely because of an adequately installed and certified seat.

"No one has spoken about this topic so thoroughly and professionally before, like we have," emphasizes Milena Zaharieva. Their mission is not just to inform, but to save children's lives through preventive educational campaigns and direct work with parents.

Their foundation becomes a true information center that provides highly specialized knowledge about children's road safety. They do not simply disseminate information but create a community of parents who consciously approach protecting the most vulnerable road participants.

Their approach combines scientific research, personal experiences, and strong social commitment. Through systematic training, workshops, and media appearances, they aim to change public attitudes and transform children's road safety from a secondary to a primary priority.

Milena and Radoslava's message is clear: every parent can and should be informed, prepared, and responsible regarding their children's safety in the car. Their mission continues to save lives, one child seat at a time.
