The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) is starting work on the new European project "TRANSFER", aimed at improving social dialogue in the civil aviation sector. The project involves 9 partners from 5 countries and aims to transfer good practices from air traffic management to other sub-sectors, as well as to support the transnational exchange of experience between social partners.

The beginning of the project "TRANSFER - Transforming the Air Traffic Management Sector into a Successful Example of Shared Social Dialogue Practices" was set during an online meeting of the partner organizations from Italy, Poland, Bulgaria, Romania, and Montenegro. The lead partner - the Autonomous Federation of Transport Unions in Italy - presented the main objectives of the initiative.

The project has a triple strategy - to build capacity focused on best practices in social dialogue in the field of air traffic management and to assess the challenges related to social dialogue in the field of air and ground handling in the respective countries; to develop recommendations for improving social dialogue at the EU and national level in civil aviation; and to conduct consultations with social partners at the EU level, participating in the European Sectoral Social Dialogue Committee.

TRANSFER covers trade unions, employers' organizations, support and commitment from social partners at the EU level, work on issues, topics, and priorities identified within the framework of social dialogue at the EU level, contribution to the work of the Civil Aviation Committee, and improving the capacity of social partners to achieve effective results from social dialogue in civil aviation.

The project will continue for 2 years and is co-financed by the European Union. Specific initiatives related to the improvement of social dialogue in the civil aviation sector are expected to be undertaken.
