Unit Six of Kozloduy NPP was connected to the country's electricity system today at 11:22 a.m. This was announced by the press center of the plant. According to the requirements of the technological regulation, the loading of the nuclear power will be carried out in stages, they pointed out.
After passing the necessary tests, analyzes and checks, carried out by independent organizations, the defective protective membrane devices of the steam superheater separators of the turbine, located in the conventional, non-nuclear part of the unit, have been replaced.
Unit Five is operating according to schedule, the team of the plant informed.
On December 19, "Kozloduy NPP" announced that unit six of the plant would be shut down on December 22 due to a fault in the protective membrane device of the turbine steam superheater separator. Later, the plant informed that unit six would be shut down a day earlier than the previously announced deadline due to an additional defect found.
