The Samokov region is establishing itself as a leading center for high-efficiency agricultural production, demonstrating exceptional potential in the field of fruit crops. During the official opening of the Raspberry Festival, state administration representative Stefan Burdev highlighted the key advantages of local agriculture.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food confirms its strategic commitment to supporting traditional agricultural production. Statistical data eloquently illustrate the sector's successful development: in 2024, 5,100 tons of raspberries were produced, with even more optimistic forecasts for 2025.

The current harvest covers 2,250 decares of planted raspberry areas, with 343 tons of yield currently realized. Particularly noteworthy is the export potential – Bulgaria is establishing itself as a net exporter, with 2,300 tons of fresh and frozen raspberries exported last year.

During the event, the deputy minister toured the exhibition stands, held direct conversations with local producers, and visited the leading bio-farm in the region. The event was realized through the joint efforts of the Samokov Municipality, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, and the State Fund "Agriculture".

Official representatives emphasized that the success of Bulgarian fruit production is due to the combination of fertile soils, rich professional experience, and the exceptional diligence of local farmers.
