The National Astronomical Observatory "Rozhen" reports an impressive celestial event that will attract the attention of astronomy enthusiasts. Tomorrow morning, residents of Bulgaria will have the unique opportunity to observe a rare convergence between the planets Jupiter and Venus.

According to expert calculations by Assoc. Prof. Nikola Petrov, director of the observatory, the astronomical phenomenon will be visible around 3:30 AM in the eastern part of the sky. The two planets will appear low on the horizon, presenting two extremely bright glowing points that will attract the gaze of every awake observer.

Although visually the planets will look very close to each other, in reality there is a distance of hundreds of millions of kilometers between them. Such a rare astronomical event occurs approximately every three years and a few months, which makes it extremely attractive for fans of cosmic phenomena.

An interesting fact is that according to expert predictions, in about two centuries Jupiter and Venus will align in line with earthly observers. During this future event, they will become the brightest objects in the night sky after the Moon during a full moon.

Assoc. Prof. Petrov drew an intriguing parallel with the historical phenomenon known as the Star of Bethlehem. According to scientific research, over 2000 years ago a similar convergence was observed between the planets Jupiter and Saturn, but only in a narrow geographic strip - from Iran and Iraq to Eastern Bulgaria and the Black Sea, with a width of about 60-80 kilometers.

For astronomy enthusiasts, the recommendation is to be awake in the morning and not miss this rare celestial spectacle that nature provides them.
