Weather for August 11: Sun and up to 38 degrees, calm sea near Burgas

Tuesday will be sunny and even warmer, with up to 38 degrees inland. A moderate wind and sea state of up to 2 degrees are expected along the Black Sea coast.

On August 11, Bulgaria will remain under the influence of hot and stable weather. NIMH predicts clear skies at night, and during the day – sun and temperatures between 33° and 38°, with slightly lower values along the coast.

Weather in Burgas and the region

In Burgas, the day will begin with about 19°C, and the maximum temperature will reach 30°C. No precipitation is expected, which means practically a 0% probability of rain according to the official forecast.

The sea water near the city will be around 25–26°C. A light to moderate east wind will blow, approximately 3–6 m/s, and the sea state will remain slight – 1–2 degrees.

The preliminary assessment for swimming safety is a green flag. Conditions are favorable, but lifeguard instructions should always be followed on the beach.

Sofia and the region

In Sofia and the surrounding areas, it will be sunny and hot, with maximum temperatures around 33–34°C. The probability of precipitation is very low. The wind will be light, mainly from the east-northeast, with a speed of about 2–4 m/s.

For Sofia, no data on sea water temperature and swimming flags apply. When visiting reservoirs or unsupervised water bodies, it is important to follow local safety rules.

Eastern and Western Bulgaria

In Eastern Bulgaria, it will be sunny, with temperatures mostly between 31°C and 35°C. In Southeastern Bulgaria, the wind will be moderate from the east-northeast, with a speed of about 4–7 m/s, bringing slight relief in the afternoon hours.

In Western Bulgaria, the heat will be more noticeable, with maximum temperatures reaching between 34°C and 38°C. Mostly sunny weather is expected, without significant precipitation, and the wind will be light from the northeast. Data on sea temperature and swimming flags do not apply to inland areas.

In the mountains

In the mountains, it will be sunny, with good visibility and dry conditions. At an altitude of about 1200 meters, the maximum temperature will be close to 27°C, and at 2000 meters – around 19°C.

The wind will be light to moderate from the northeast, and it may be felt more noticeably on open ridges. Sea water temperature and swimming flag do not apply to mountain areas.

Black Sea coast

Along the Black Sea coast, the weather will remain sunny. Maximum temperatures will be between 27°C and 31°C, and the probability of precipitation is minimal. A light to moderate wind will blow from the east.

The sea water temperature will be 25–26°C, and the sea state – 1–2 degrees. The preliminary assessment for safe swimming is a green flag, including along the Southern Black Sea coast, provided that the signaling and instructions of the lifeguard teams are followed.
