The Russian ambassador to the USA announced that the next round of negotiations between the delegations of the United States and Russia will take place in Moscow. He confirmed that the meeting will be held "in the near future", without specifying a specific date. At the same time, the diplomat commented that the process of restoring relations between the two countries is greatly delayed. The ambassador blamed the so-called "deep state" in the USA, as well as the "anti-Russian hawks" in Congress, for the lack of progress. The decision to move the negotiations from Istanbul to Moscow is interpreted as a diplomatic signal to consolidate Russian control over the form and conditions of the dialogue.
