Bulgarian robots inspire the next generation
The first Bulgarian humanoid robot, named Robert, is ready to tour the country as part of a new national campaign by the Ministry of Education and Science. The goal is for students to get a closer look at robotics and artificial intelligence.
The partnership between schools and businesses is extremely important for the development of practical skills in children, emphasized Deputy Minister Dr. Tanya Pancheva.
What can Robert do?
- Engage in real-time conversations with people
- Recognize interlocutors
- Change digital facial expressions for more natural communication
- Demonstrate movements such as walking, sitting, and even dancing
Following the success of the pilot initiative in over 30 schools, its creators at RB Labs hope to reach even more children with state support. Robotics and quantum technologies are the key to the future, remind experts from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
