Protest in Burgas: Protecting the Lev and Demanding a Referendum on the Eurozone

Citizens protested in front of the municipality in Burgas, expressing dissatisfaction with joining the Eurozone and insisting on a referendum. There were also demands for fair elections and 100% machine voting.

Citizens gathered in protest in front of Burgas Municipality in defense of the Bulgarian lev. The dissatisfied expressed doubts about the benefits of the Eurozone and demanded a referendum.

The participants waved flags and chanted “We want our lev – no to the euro”. During the protest, questions were also raised about fair elections and the introduction of 100% machine voting.

The protesters emphasized the need for guarantees for the transparency of the vote and measures to restore confidence in the electoral process.
