Tomorrow, October 31st, drivers can expect a change in traffic on the "Trakia" highway.
After the completion of the repair work, traffic in the repaired lane for Burgas in the section of the highway in the Stara Zagora region will be opened. The repair, covering 10 kilometers of the track, between the 208th and 218th kilometer, is expected to be completed by 18:00, when the temporary traffic organization will also be removed.
A complete replacement of the asphalt surface was carried out on site, and a geogrid was also laid. Drainage works were also carried out, new markings were placed and other improvements were made.
This morning, traffic was restored in the 8-kilometer section of the "Trakia" highway in the Pazardzhik region. The work on laying the markings in the lane for Sofia was completed yesterday. In the section between the 90th and 98th kilometer, traffic is now passing without restrictions in both repaired lanes.
At the same time, repair work on the "Trakia" highway continues in the lane for Burgas in the Sliven region. The section subject to repair covers 11 kilometers, from the 262nd to the 273rd kilometer. Work is being carried out intensively on site, with geogrids being laid on certain sections, concrete curbs being installed, a basic asphalt layer being laid and other activities. The estimated deadline for the completion of this repair is the end of November.
The repairs in all sections are carried out under the contract for current repair and maintenance of the "Trakia" highway by "Avtomagistrali" EAD.
The "Road Infrastructure" Agency appeals to drivers to be careful on the road, to strictly observe the road signs and the introduced temporary organization and speed limits. The agency also calls on drivers to avoid risky overtaking in order to guarantee the safety of all travelers.
