Traffic restrictions on highways
From August 11 to August 13, drivers traveling on the Trakia and Hemus highways should exercise increased caution. The Road Infrastructure Agency (RIA) is starting the replacement of toll cameras in the Sofia region.
Repair schedule:
- August 11 and 12 (Tuesday and Wednesday): Between 09:00 and 18:00 at the 19th km of the Trakia highway (near the village of Krushovitsa). Traffic in the passing lane will be restricted in stages in both directions (towards Plovdiv and towards Sofia), with traffic being directed into the active lanes.
- August 13 (Thursday): Between 09:00 and 18:00 at the 61st km of the Hemus highway (near the village of Osikovska Lakavitsa). Passing in the overtaking lane will be restricted successively in both the Sofia and Varna directions.
The RIA urges drivers to strictly observe traffic rules and speed limits to avoid accidents.
We remind you that similar repair works have already been carried out on road I-4 near the village of Golets and on road I-8 in the area of Novi Han.
