Recognition for a Key Partnership in Law Enforcement
Acting Prosecutor General Vanya Stefanova presented official awards to officers from the U.S. law enforcement agencies "Secret Service" and the FBI, as well as to representatives of the Department of Justice and the U.S. Embassy in Sofia.
The awards are an expression of gratitude for the expert support in the investigation of complex pre-trial proceedings and the collaborative work on cases against cross-border crime.
Main Objectives of the Cooperation
- Enhancing the professional qualifications of Bulgarian magistrates through joint training sessions.
- Strengthening institutional capacity in the fight against serious organized crime.
- Effective interaction in investigations of high factual and legal complexity.
This cooperation is proof of the deepening partnership between the Bulgarian Prosecutor's Office and U.S. institutions. Their activities have a direct impact on the effectiveness of criminal prosecution in our country.
We recall that earlier, Interior Minister Ivan Demerdzhiev also held a series of meetings in the U.S. aimed at addressing current challenges such as political terrorism.
