The executive director of "ViK – Burgas", Tsvetan Mirchev, and another employee of the company have been brought in as defendants in an investigation, the prosecutor's office in Burgas told "Po sveta i u doma".
According to data from the state prosecution, the head of the company has been charged with intentionally committing crimes related to irregular expenditure, while the second employee is charged with complicity.
Both have been detained for a period of up to 72 hours. It is expected that on Monday the prosecutor's office will provide additional information regarding the investigation, as well as the actions of the State Department for Investigation of Crimes at "Water Supply and Sewerage" – Burgas, carried out on Friday.
The remand measures for the two defendants will be reviewed again at the beginning of next week.
According to information provided by an affected family, it was Tsvetan Mirchev who participated in the correspondence with them. The family and their representative have submitted reports and complaints to a number of institutions, including "KEVR", "National Ombudsman", "Burgas Regional Administration", "Burgas Municipality", and "Public Mediator of Burgas".
For their part, they have expressed hope that after the actions taken, order will be established in the activities of "ViK – Burgas" and the necessary control mechanisms will be implemented.
