Program for the March 3rd Celebration in Burgas: 148 Years Since the Liberation

On March 3, 2026, Burgas celebrates 148 years since the Liberation of Bulgaria. The city has prepared a rich program, including parades, ceremonies, and a festive concert. Celebrate the national holiday in Burgas!

In 2026, Burgas marks the 148th anniversary of the Liberation of Bulgaria from Ottoman rule, celebrating the national holiday - March 3rd.

The festive program begins at 09:00 in the public access zone of Burgas Port near the Sea Station. At 10:00, the car procession “Balgarevo Procession March 3rd” starts, followed by the motorcycle procession “The Road to Freedom” from Primorski Park (10:30).

At 11:00, a solemn ritual of raising the flags will take place on “Atanas Sirekov” square, followed by a prayer service. At 11:30, a requiem will be served in front of the Monument to the Fallen, with the laying of wreaths and flowers.

From 12:30 on “Atanas Sirekov” square, a festive folklore concert with the “Atanas Manchev” Ensemble begins. This is followed by the Burgas procession “In honor of the heroes” (13:30) and a solemn procession for laying wreaths and flowers (14:00).

In the evening, in the “Toncho Rusev” hall of the NHC Cultural House, from 19:00, the stage spectacle “Epic of the Forgotten” will be performed (free admission).
