We welcome the achieved truce for the Gaza Strip, which has sparked a wave of relief globally. Hopes are directed towards the release of all hostages, as their detention is considered the catalyst for the current conflict. This was stated by Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov from the Haskovo village of Konush, where he was after the announcement of yesterday's peace agreement between Israel and "Hamas".

At this crucial moment, when the international community is striving to stabilize the situation, Zhelyazkov emphasized Bulgaria's long-standing position regarding the Middle East. "Bulgaria has always adhered to the understanding that sustainable peace in the Middle East can be achieved on the principle of "one territory - two states"." This consistency in the country's diplomatic line is essential for achieving lasting peace in the region, the Prime Minister assured.

The Prime Minister noted that he had already shared his comments regarding this world news on the social network "X", where his opinion has reached a wide audience.

The event in Konush, which the Prime Minister attended, turned into a demonstration of European cooperation. Zhelyazkov was together with the European Commissioner for Agriculture and Food, Christoph Hansen, as well as with the Minister of Agriculture Georgi Tahov. The occasion for the gathering was the opening of a renovated large irrigation canal, which underlines the government's commitment to improving infrastructure and supporting agriculture.
