State of emergency declared after the explosion near Belitsa

A partial state of emergency has been declared in the Belitsa area following an incident at an ammunition depot. The decision was made during a crisis staff meeting in the Tryavna Municipality to ensure the safety of citizens and allow for a thorough search for unexploded ordnance.

"We want to provide full assurance that the area can be secured," said the Mayor of Tryavna, Dencho Minev.

Details of the measures:

Although the danger has not completely passed, the situation is currently calm. High temperatures necessitate constant monitoring of the perimeter, as the situation could change quickly. Police patrols and the gendarmerie remain on-site, but the movement of citizens and tourists is not restricted.
