"We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria" submitted a bill for changes to the Election Code, envisaging 100% machine voting, the coalition's press center announced.

PP-DB justifies its proposal with the need to strengthen democratic principles, increase transparency and guarantee the fairness of the electoral process.

According to the proposers, fully machine voting is a more reliable, transparent and objective mechanism for exercising the active right to vote. It is also a necessary measure to overcome the deficits in the electoral process.

The goals of the changes include eliminating invalid votes, limiting human errors in counting the results and the possibilities for vote manipulation. In addition, it is planned to facilitate the work of the section election commissions, shorten the time for processing results and increase confidence in the electoral process.

BTA recalls that the issue of changes to the Election Code was also discussed at the consultations with the parliamentary groups with President Rumen Radev.
