Reports of material damage as a result of the wind have been filed in Montana, Vratsa, Pleven, Veliko Tarnovo, Gabrovo, Lovech, Sliven, Sofia, Pazardzhik, Plovdiv, Blagoevgrad, Pernik, Burgas, Varna, Dobrich, Kardzhali, Kyustendil, Razgrad, Ruse, Silistra, Smolyan, Stara Zagora, Targovishte, Haskovo, Shumen, Yambol, the fire department reported.
The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH) issued a second-degree warning - orange code, for strong and stormy northwesterly wind in 12 regions of the country with gusts between 25 m/s and 30 m/s. In the rest of Bulgaria, a first-degree warning - yellow code, is in effect, with gusts up to 24 m/s.
