Over the past 24 hours, firefighters in Bulgaria have dealt with a number of fires and incidents, responding to 107 calls.
Unfortunately, there are tragic consequences:
- In the village of Golyamo Peshtene, a 71-year-old man died in a house fire, as a result of suffocation.
Other incidents:
- A 42-year-old man was injured in a fire in an apartment in Buhovo and was transported to “Pirogov” hospital with burns and poisoning. The cause was carelessness in handling an open flame.
- In Gabrovo, a fire broke out in the “Day Center for Elderly People with Disabilities” in Tryavna, necessitating the evacuation of four people.
- In the land of the village of Balanovo, there was a fire in greenhouses, destroying one greenhouse, refrigerators and packaging. Firefighters saved two other greenhouses.
General statistics:
- A total of 54 fires were extinguished.
- 22 fires resulted in direct material damage.
- 32 fires occurred without material damage.
- 49 rescue operations and support operations were carried out.
- 4 false calls were received by the fire department.
Firefighters provided assistance in accidents, incidents involving hazardous substances, industrial accidents, drainage, and animal rescue.
