Fires in Bulgaria in the Past 24 Hours: 50 Fires Extinguished, 2 Injured

In the last 24 hours, 50 fires have been extinguished in Bulgaria, and 83 incidents have been reported. Two people were injured in the incidents. Two specific cases in Varna are described.

In the past 24 hours, a total of 50 fires have been extinguished in the country, and the fire departments have responded to 83 calls for incidents, reports the General Directorate "Fire Safety and Protection of the Population" on its website. Two people were injured in the incidents.

On February 10th at 17:57, a report was received about a fire on the balcony of an apartment in the city of Varna. After a conference call, it was established that there was a fire on part of a kitchen counter on the terrace of an apartment at the specified address. The fire was extinguished with makeshift means by the owner of the apartment – an elderly woman. One fire team was sent to conduct an inspection on site. The woman was examined by a medical team, who decided to hospitalize her at VMA MBAL–Varna with suspicion of an inhalation crisis.

On February 10th at 20:21, a report was received at the Operational Center at RDPBZN – Varna about a fire in an apartment in the city. The fire was extinguished by four fire trucks with four teams. Upon arrival of the teams, it was established that flames were coming from an apartment on the sixth floor of the residential building. A 28-year-old man was injured, who is suffering from poisoning. He was transported to a medical facility.

18 fires caused direct material damage. 32 fires occurred without material damage.

30 rescue operations and support operations were carried out. 

There were three false calls.
