Fires in Bulgaria: Two dead and five injured in the last 24 hours

In the last 24 hours, 78 fires were extinguished in Bulgaria, according to the General Directorate “Fire Safety and Population Protection”. Two fatalities and five injuries have been registered. The most serious fire was in Sofia, where a woman died and two children are in serious condition.

Over the last 24 hours in Bulgaria, numerous fires have been registered, leading to tragic consequences. The General Directorate "Fire Safety and Protection of the Population" reports 78 extinguished fires.

The most serious incident was in Sofia, where a fire in a residential building on Oplachenska St. claimed one human life. A 41-year-old woman died, and two children (aged 11 and 13) are in serious condition and admitted to "Pirogov" hospital. The incident occurred as a result of a fire in an apartment on the second floor, caused by a mentally ill man and his mother.

In Chirpan, Stara Zagora region, another death was registered - an 83-year-old man died in a house fire.

In Studentski Grad, Sofia, a fire broke out in a car, in which a 58-year-old man received 6% burns.

Over the last 24 hours, fire departments responded to 108 incident reports. 30 fires resulted in direct material damage, of which 18 were in residential buildings. 26 rescue operations and support operations were carried out.
