Grim statistics: 23 accidents in 24 hours
The past 24 hours have proven to be extremely difficult for road conditions in Bulgaria. According to the Ministry of the Interior (MoI), 23 road traffic accidents were registered in the country, in which one person died and 26 were injured.
The statistics for the capital are also alarming: three serious and 25 minor accidents, leading to one fatality and four injured.
Data from the beginning of 2025
Road conditions this year show an increase in accident-related mortality. At the moment:
- 251 deaths: 26 more compared to the same period last year.
- 4388 injured: total number of people injured in accidents from the beginning of the year to date.
Experts are calling for increased caution, maintaining a safe distance, and strict adherence to traffic rules, especially in busy urban areas.
