A total of 28 fires were extinguished in the country during the past 24 hours, the General Directorate "Fire Safety and Civil Protection" (GDPSCP) announced on its official website. Firefighters responded to a total of 63 incident reports, which indicates a busy workload for the emergency services.
In connection with the fires in the last 24 hours, there is one casualty. A young woman sustained burns to the upper part of her palms as a result of a fire in a car. The incident occurred in Varna. The injured person was transported to the burn clinic of the Naval Hospital for treatment. The atmosphere at the scene of the incident was tense, with the presence of many people.
Five of the fires caused material damage. Of these, two occurred in residential buildings. Twenty-three fires, on the other hand, passed without causing material damage.
In addition to extinguishing fires, the fire teams also performed 34 rescue activities and support operations. Six of these operations were related to accidents, and 27 involved providing technical assistance.
During the past 24 hours, the fire department also received one false alarm.
