Over the past 24 hours, the Fire Safety and Population Protection units responded to 89 incident calls; one person died in fires and another was injured, the Ministry of Interior announced.
The deceased is a 51-year-old man after a fire in a house in the town of Trun.
A total of 52 fires were extinguished, of which nine were in residential buildings and four in vehicles.
36 fires occurred without material damage, including one in dry grass, forest litter and shrubs, 17 in waste, 13 in cooking appliances and chimneys.
31 rescue operations and support operations were carried out, including seven in vehicle accidents. The teams responded to two calls for water removal and three calls for animal rescue.
Six false calls for incidents were received.
