Fire Under Asparuhov Bridge in Varna

A massive fire broke out today under one of Varna's key infrastructure sites – the Asparuhov Bridge. The flames erupted in an area located directly behind the base of the taxi company "Triumph Taxi", according to an official announcement from the press center of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior in the seaside city.

The incident triggered an immediate response from security and public order services. According to initial information provided by the General Directorate "Fire Safety and Civil Protection", the fire started from accumulated waste at the site. Although the exact causes of the ignition are still being investigated, this fact suggests that it was an accidental or unintentional ignition of household and construction waste, which often piles up in uninhabited areas.

Four specialized fire brigade teams quickly arrived at the scene of the incident. Firefighters are actively working to contain the spread of the flames and prevent potential damage to the bridge's structure or neighboring objects. The visible smoke from the area was felt in a large part of the neighborhood.

Law enforcement and fire teams are working in coordination to ensure the safety of citizens and handle the incident. Traffic in the area has not been stopped, but authorities are urging drivers to be especially careful while the operation to extinguish the fire continues.
