A fire broke out this morning in the capital's "Dragalevtsi" neighborhood, in the area of "Otets Genadiy" and "Naum" streets. According to initial information, the flames started from construction machinery, after which they also affected a nearby house.
Three fire brigade teams and police officers were dispatched to the scene. The firefighters took action to contain and extinguish the fire.
The incident produced thick black smoke, which worried people living in the area. Initially, people assumed it was a larger fire near Vitosha.
Later information indicates that an aerial work platform caught fire, with a technical malfunction being the likely cause. At the moment, there are no reports of injured people.
Competent authorities are to establish the exact causes of the fire and the extent of the material damage.
