Pomorie Celebrates 148 Years Since the Liberation of Bulgaria

Pomorie Municipality invites residents and guests of the city to a solemn celebration of the 148th anniversary of the Liberation of Bulgaria on March 3, 2026. The program includes a thanksgiving prayer service, a city-wide celebration, and a festive program with the participation of students and children.

In a few days, 148 years will have passed since the Liberation of Bulgaria from Ottoman rule. The program organized by Pomorie Municipality on March 3, 2026 /Tuesday/ will begin at 10:30 am with a thanksgiving prayer service in the church “St. Birth of the Theotokos“.

At 11:00 am, the city-wide celebration will take place in front of the memorial plaques of the participants in the Liberation War, in the city center. With the help of the XX Guards Detachment of Ivan Vazov Secondary School, the national flag of the Republic of Bulgaria will be raised.

Students from Aleko Konstantinov Professional High School, Hristo Botev Primary School and Ivan Vazov Secondary School, children from Detelina Kindergarten, Veselushko Kindergarten, Vasiliya Stoyanova and Krasimir Kerkinov - Kemi will participate in the festive program.
