Tribute to Alexander Georgiev-Kojakafalia on St. Nicholas Day in Burgas

On St. Nicholas Day in Burgas, tribute was paid before the monument of the great benefactor Alexander Georgiev-Kojakafalia. Mayor Dimitar Nikolov and other officials laid wreaths and flowers in recognition of his contribution to the city.

On the festive St. Nicholas Day for Burgas, the city's greatest benefactor, Alexander Georgiev – Kodjakafaliyata, was not forgotten. At the beginning of the festive celebrations, wreaths and flowers in a sign of respect for the personality and deeds of the father of Burgas were laid before his monument by Mayor Dimitar Nikolov, Regional Governor Vladimir Krumov, Burgas MPs Galya Vasileva and Andrey Runchev, Deputy Mayors of Burgas Stanimir Apostolov and Mihail Nenov, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Education in the Municipal Council Pavel Chepov, and grateful citizens of Burgas.

“Bow down to the memory of Alexander Georgiev Kodjakafaliyata! The greatest donor of Burgas, who with his enormous gesture gave impetus to the development of modern Burgas. We will hardly ever be able to thank him for his generosity and love for Burgas. May his memory be bright!”, shared Mayor Dimitar Nikolov.

The celebrations continue with a festive session of the Municipal Council in the House of Culture NHC and the awarding of the new honorary citizens of Burgas.
