Gratitude for the memory of Alexander Georgiev – Kodzhakafaliyata
On July 15, Burgas bowed its head in memory of its greatest benefactor – Alexander Georgiev, known in history as Kodzhakafaliyata. This year marks exactly 113 years since his passing, and the reverence for his work remains alive to this day.
"His name is a symbol of benevolence, social responsibility, and unconditional love for his hometown."
As a sign of gratitude, representatives of local community centers and children participating in the summer activities of the "Asen Zlatarov 1940" Community Center laid wreaths and flowers at his monument. The young participants learned about the history of the figure who changed the fate of thousands of Burgas families.
Who was the "Father of the Poor"?
