Sad news: Lyuben Dilov-sin has passed away
The Bulgarian public is in mourning following the news of the passing of Lyuben Dilov-sin. The sad news was announced by GERB leader Boyko Borisov on his Facebook profile.
"Goodbye, Lubo Dilov! I have lost a friend, a bright personality, a talented writer, and a person with an exceptional sense of humor and civic stance," wrote Borisov.
Who was Lyuben Dilov-sin?
Born on November 19, 1964, in Sofia, Lyuben Dilov-sin left a lasting mark on the cultural and political life of Bulgaria. He was a long-time member of parliament in nine consecutive legislatures (from the 40th to the 52nd National Assembly).
- Writer and journalist: Author of numerous satirical works and a long-time editor in print media.
- Television figure: Ideologue and creator of cult shows such as "Ku-ku", "Kanaleto", "Hashove", and "Slavi's Show".
- Politician: Honorary chairman of the "Gergyovden" movement.
Dilov was the son of the famous science fiction writer Lyuben Dilov (1927-2008). Having graduated in journalism from Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", he dedicated his career to media, literature, and social development. Rest in peace!
