The Day of Bulgarian Spirituality: Honoring the Work of Cyril and Methodius
On May 24, Bulgaria celebrated the Day of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius, of the Bulgarian alphabet, education, and culture. Celebrations were held across the country, serving as a reminder of our country's civilizational contribution to world culture.
"Let us preserve the Bulgarian language, which makes us a nation, which connects and unites us," stated Vice President Iliana Iotova during the ceremony in front of the National Library.
President Rumen Radev emphasized that Bulgaria has not only preserved the work of the Slavic enlighteners but has also turned it into the foundation for the spiritual development of a number of nations.
