History of International Children's Day
The holiday has a long history that began nearly a century ago:
- 1925: The "World Conference for the Well-being of Children" was convened in Geneva, Switzerland.
- Global recognition: Following the conference, governments around the world began to set dates to celebrate the holiday, in accordance with their own traditions and culture.
In the BTA archives, there is a wealth of data showing that from the second half of the 20th century, the day has been widely covered and celebrated with great enthusiasm.
