Higher Remuneration for Commission Members at the Upcoming Elections

At the upcoming early parliamentary elections on April 19, the members of the Regional Election Commissions (REC) will receive a monthly remuneration, while the members of the Section Election Commissions (SEC) will receive a one-time remuneration. Additional remunerations are also provided for various activities. The caretaker Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov noted that the training of all participants in the SEC is extremely important.

Members of the Regional Election Commission (REC) will receive higher monthly remunerations from February 28th to May 3rd, 2026. In electoral districts with over 400 polling stations, the chairman will receive 1470 euros; the vice-chairman - 1397 euros; the secretary - 1397 euros; a commission member - 1327 euros. In electoral districts with up to 400 polling stations included, the chairman will receive 1352 euros; the vice-chairman - 1284 euros; the secretary - 1284 euros; a commission member - 1220 euros.

A one-time remuneration will be received by the members of the Sectional Election Commission (SEC) in the country. The chairman of the commission will receive 185 euros; the vice-chairman - 170 euros, the secretary - 170 euros, and the members of the commission 156 euros.

Interim Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov noted that the training of all participants in the SEC is extremely important. The chairwoman of the Central Election Commission (CEC), Kamelia Neykova, added that there is a test for filling the sectional election commission.
