Social integration in the heart of Orizare
The pensioners' club in the village of Orizare, Nesebar Municipality, has established itself as a benchmark for cohesion. With its 100 active members aged 61 to 94, the club is a home for local residents, as well as citizens of Russia and Ukraine, who find a friendly environment here.
New facility and traditions
The club is housed in a modern building, opened in 2023 at the initiative of the Municipality of Nesebar. Mayor Nikolay Dimitrov emphasizes that the mission of the facility is to serve as a hub for social activities that maintain the spirit and self-esteem of elderly people.
"The goal is to serve the people – to bring them together and unite them through social activities," the municipal administration shared.
Active life through all seasons
- Creativity: Making martenitsas and participating in the Bread Festival.
- Culture: A new traditional corner with authentic objects and a library with donated books.
- Communication: Thematic discussions on gardening, domestic travel, and celebrating personal holidays.
An interesting fact is that many of the members are former employees of "Sunny Beach" and remain active in tourism, and modern technologies such as mobile devices and online games are part of their daily life. Ultimately, for the people in Orizare, health and living friendship remain the most valuable life capital.
