Active social life for the "golden age" in the village of Banya
The pensioners' club in the Nessebar village of Banya has become an example of successful social inclusion. In the new multifunctional building, constructed with municipal funds, the elderly find a space for socializing, traditions, and creativity.
"Caring for our fellow citizens of the third age is a leading priority in our social policy," emphasized the Mayor of Nessebar Municipality, Nikolay Dimitrov.
Traditions, dances, and friendships
- Cultural exchange: Regular meetings with clubs from Ravda, Sunny Beach, and Obzor.
- Creativity: Yarn winding, board games, and sharing culinary recipes.
- Folklore: Active participation in the "Rodni Stapki" dance group.
- Tourism: Excursions to historical sites and even international destinations such as the island of Corfu.
Mission: Intergenerational continuity
A primary goal of the club is to educate children in the spirit of Bulgarian traditions. Celebrating holidays together teaches the youth respect for experience and patriotism. The club members not only celebrate personal anniversaries together but also actively improve their living conditions through donations and personal initiatives, turning every event into a shared celebration for the entire community.
