Tragic Balance from the Roads: One Dead and Dozens Injured in 24 Hours
One human life was taken and 28 were injured in serious road accidents in the country during the past 24 hours. This grim statistic was published on the website of the Ministry of Interior. The data shows a worrying picture on the roads, where danger looms daily.
In just 24 hours, a total of 24 serious accidents were registered. Emergency medical teams were busy providing assistance to the injured, and the police have launched investigations to clarify the causes of the incidents.
In the capital - Sofia, the situation is a little calmer, but far from safe. For the same 24 hours, 19 minor traffic accidents were reported. The absence of serious casualties is comforting, but still emphasizes the need for increased attention from all road users.
The analysis of the data from the beginning of the month reveals even more worrying trends. In a total of 197 serious accidents, 13 people died, and 251 were injured. These are figures that should be a serious signal for taking urgent measures to improve road safety.
Since the beginning of the year, the picture is even more gloomy. A total of 5332 serious accidents have left a lasting mark on the country. During the same period, 340 people lost their lives on the road, and 6662 were injured. These figures are eloquent witnesses to the need to strengthen control, driver education and infrastructure improvement.
