The deputies of the National Assembly have planned a large-scale meeting with numerous significant legislative changes. The upcoming second vote covers several essential normative acts that will have a serious impact on various public spheres.

At the center of attention are the changes to the Criminal Code, which were initially adopted on July 18. They introduce new mechanisms for seizing property acquired through criminal activity, including from third parties acting in bad faith. In parallel, corrections to the Criminal Procedure Code will also be reviewed.

Among the priority draft laws is the one for introducing the euro in Bulgaria. The document provides for special anti-speculative measures that will be in effect until August 8, 2026. These provisions are aimed at protecting consumers during the monetary conversion.

Additionally on the agenda are changes to the Public Offering of Securities Act, the Financial Collateral Arrangements Act, and the Recognition of Professional Qualifications Act. All of these draft laws are to be reviewed and voted on at second reading during Thursday's session.

The expectation is that the deputies will show an extremely responsible attitude towards these key legislative initiatives that directly concern the country's economic and legal system.
