Today's fire in the Bankya area was successfully extinguished by professional and volunteer units, reported Krasimir Dimitrov - head of the "Emergency Assistance and Prevention" directorate of the Capital Municipality.

Four specialized teams from the fire service and municipal emergency directorate immediately responded to the incident site. By order of Mayor Vasil Terziev, four water trucks were mobilized for more effective fire suppression.

Volunteers from the municipal disaster protection unit supported the staff employees. Additional technical support was provided through the use of a modern fire drone by the teams of "Emergency Assistance and Prevention".

According to Dimitrov's official statement, the fire is completely under control, and there is no real threat to either nearby settlements or the "St. Petka" monastery.
